Overview
The online MHA at ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ is built upon an asynchronous learning platform where ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ complete the 48-credit hour curriculum through a series of weekly modules. Program faculty provide ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ with learning material (e.g., readings, recorded lectures, and activities), feedback, and guide ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ through the course content. Students, in turn, complete set, scheduled deliverables during the week and may engage in activities that allow them to interact with their peers. However, ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ are not required to come to campus and do not attend regularly scheduled classes.
The online MHA program has the same goal as the on-campus program of helping ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ develop or further develop their health services knowledge, communication skills, and leadership skills to be practice ready health services professionals.
Program structure:
- Courses are offered in the fall, spring, and summer semesters.
- Generally 14-15 modules (weeks) in a semester.
- Students may complete the program in two academic years.
- The program is offered in a part-time and full-time format; ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ may switch between the two options.
- A full-time course load is three classes.
- Students who work full-time are able to complete the program as full-time ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½.
- Many ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ will have the opportunity to complete internships in the field (can be in the area where they reside).
